Wichita State AD Kevin Saal shared some big updates in his latest letter to Shocker Nation. Among the highlights?
Men's basketball added 600 new season tickets with the help of online sales. The 316 Campaign for the "We Fight for Wichita Fund" launches this week, marking a tax-deductible initiative to strengthen roster resources across all sports. Volleyball tripled group ticket sales compared to 2024.
Student-athletes posted a 3.51 cumulative GPA for Fall 2025, the second-highest in school history. Women's bowling ranks No. 6 nationally. Elkana Kipruto earned All-American honors in cross country, the first Shocker man to do so since 1992.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Thirty Somethings. Guard Kenyon Giles dropped a career-high 33 points in Sunday's win over North Texas, making him the newest member of the Shockers' 30-point club: a group of players who've hit the mark across 133 games in program history.
The 5-10 senior shot 13-of-17 from the field, 4-of-4 from three, and 3-of-3 from the line with just one turnover in 40 minutes. His offensive efficiency rating of 180 is the best of any 30-point Shocker performance since Ken Pomeroy started tracking the stat in 2012-13.
Giles averages 18.6 points per game while shooting 42.6% from three and 47.2% on two-pointers. As Paul Suellentrop writes, he's become the kind of scorer defenses design entire game plans around, despite being the smallest player on the court.
