Shocker Brew: 1/29: Thrice as Nice

With three separate meets that run through tomorrow, the Shockers Track & Field team will be looking to break some records.

Good morning, Shocker Nation! The Wichita State Track & Field team is having a busy weekend, with three separate events. The Shockers are hosting the Coach Wilson Invitational through tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 1), in the Heskett Center. The meet honors longtime Track & Field coaches Herm Wilson and Pat Wilson.

The Shocker multi-eventers travel to K-State to compete in the DeLoss Dodds Invitational, and a distance group will head to Topeka for the Washburn Open.

Coach Wilson Invitational events begin at 11:00 a.m. CT today and 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.

👀 All eyes will be on Yared Kidane. Last time out, he broke the 600-meter school record and Prairie Wolf Invitational meet record before winning the 800 meters at the Mark Colligan Memorial with an AAC-leading time of 1:50.26.
