Good morning, Shocker Nation. For the first time as an American Conference member, the Shockers are everybody’s pick: nine of 13 coaches put Wichita State at the top of the preseason poll.

William Berg landed on the preseason first team, Dillon Battie and Jordan Frison on the second, the first time the program has stacked multiple honorees since joining the league. Now comes the fun part, with the season starting Nov. 4 against CSUN.

What else are we mixing into today’s piping hot edition of the Shocker Brew? Find out below!

🟡 Yellow Takes It
🥎 On The Field
🌾 And much, much more!

🔼 Yellow Takes It. The Shockers wrapped up their Black & Yellow Fall World Series, with Yellow coming out on top. It was so good to see baseball at Eck Stadium again, and after a long offseason, we’re already daydreaming about spring.

🔼 On The Field. Wichita State softball took Sunday’s exhibition game against Emporia State! We loved seeing the Shockers back on the field.

We want to hear from you. Take our reader survey and tell us a little about yourself, what you love, and what you want more of. Your feedback helps us make sure every edition of the Shocker Brew email is worth opening.
