Wichita is the Best Sports-Event Host City, as announced by the 2025 SportsTravel Awards! Wichita beat out Atlanta, Boise, Charlotte, Des Moines, and Milwaukee for the honor as our city welcomed more than 100 sporting events between June 30, 2024 and July 1, 2025. That generated an estimated $61 million in economic impact!

🔼 “I Don’t Like Easy.” Wichita State softball’s Mickayla Tosch, a transfer from McLennan Community College, is one of 14 new faces on the field this season for the Shockers. She sat down with Paul Suellentrop to talk about why she chose Wichita State for her next chapter.

🔼 Strikes! The No. 5 Wichita State women’s bowling team begins its new season with the Mid-States Championships this weekend. The Shockers will host the weekend tournament, which is classified as an exhibition tourney and does not impact NCAA rankings or stats. 24 programs will compete on Saturday and Sunday.
