Good morning, Shocker Nation.

What else are we mixing into today’s piping hot edition of the Shocker Brew? Find out below!

🎾 Doubling Up
🎳 Leading the Pack
🌾 And much, much more!

🔼 Doubling Up. Xin Tong Wang reached the singles semifinals at the ITA Central Region Championships, stringing together four straight wins, including a three-set takedown of Oklahoma’s Gloriana Nahum. She also teamed with Giorgia Roselli to reach the doubles semifinals, knocking off Missouri, Tulsa, and a quarterfinal opponent along the way. The Shockers head to Houston next for the American Conference Individual Championships, beginning Oct. 22.

🔼 Leading the Pack. Senior Aleesha Oden took MVP and All-Tournament honors at the Mid-States Championships exhibition over the weekend, topping the individual standings with a 217.33 average that included a 268 on Saturday. Wichita State led the field in total pinfall across both days before bowing out to McKendree in the opening round of bracket play to finish fifth. Senior Ashtyn Woods placed seventh individually and freshman Olivia Lizzi cracked the top 10 in her Shocker debut, with the regular season opening Oct. 30 at Destination Orlando.
