Good morning, Shocker Nation.

Baseball is in the air! Wichita State released a 54-game 2027 schedule that packs 33 games into Eck Stadium, including 18 of the first 23 to start the year. The Shockers open Feb. 19 against Hofstra, then work through American Conference series against Memphis, East Carolina, UTSA, UAB, and South Florida at home, with road sets at Charlotte, Rice, Tulane, and Florida Atlantic. Brian Green enters his fourth season with 27 newcomers and a junior college recruiting class ranked third nationally by JBB.

What else are we mixing into today’s piping hot edition of the Shocker Brew? Find out below!

🎾 A New Home
🎙️ New Episode
🌾 And much, much more!

🔼 A New Home. Wichita State has broken ground on the Regine Feilmeier Tennis Complex, a six-acre facility built to NCAA championship specifications with 12 outdoor courts, six indoor courts, premium team spaces, and seating for 1,500. The complex will be gifted to the university by Family Destination Development upon completion, making it the largest single gift in Shocker Athletic history, and is designed to host NCAA and conference championships, junior tournaments, and youth camps alongside the men’s and women’s programs. It will sit within the 35-acre Ignite at K-96 development near the K-96 and Greenwich corridor.

🎙️ New Episode. Marty Cornejo and Ashley Cozine of Family Destination Development join The Roundhouse Podcast to talk through the new Regine Feilmeier Tennis Complex, how an empty plot became the future home of Shocker tennis, and why the Wichita tennis community figures into the plan.
