🌾 ONE BIG THING

Wichita State volleyball returns to Charles Koch Arena, squaring off with Memphis on Friday at 7 p.m. and UAB on Sunday at 1 p.m. After winning both of their opening week conference matches against Memphis and Temple, the Shockers have gone 1-1 in each of the last three weeks. Heading into this weekend, the Shockers hold an 11-4 all-time advantage against the Tigers, including a 10-3 mark in American play. As for the Blazers, WSU has played UAB just twice since they joined The American ahead of the 2023 season. The Shockers emerged victorious in both meetings.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Strong Start. Sophomore Giorgia Roselli shined on the opening day of the 2024 AAC Individual Championships, picking a singles win and teaming up with Theodora Chantava to collect a doubles win on Thursday. After advancing to a round of 16 match, Roselli took the No. 2 seed in the tournament to three sets, but fell 6-1, 3-6, 8-10. The duo of Roselli and Chantava began the day with a dispatching of UAB, 8-4, to advance to today’s doubles quarterfinals.

🔼 Back At It. Shockers Alejandro Jacome and Kristof Minarik each dropped their opening singles match at the 2024 AAC Individual Championships. The two Shockers will pair up tomorrow to compete in the main draw doubles bracket after having a first-round bye. They are slated to play a duo out of Memphis at 10 a.m. for a spot in the doubles semifinals.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Wichita State junior pitcher Caleb Anderson joins the crew to talk about fall scrimmages and teammates to watch in the five-game fall series.
