After decades between meetings, it's finally happening tonight! Wichita State hosts Murray State this evening at 6:30 p.m. in Charles Koch Arena for a charity scrimmage, giving you your first look at this Shocker squad against an opponent.

Tickets are $20 with general admission seating and free parking, and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Wichita Children's Home and Cheese Johnson's UJUMP. Gates open at 5:30.

Tickets And Theme Nights. Single-game tickets are on sale for both Wichita State basketball programs, and the non-conference promotional schedules are out, meaning fans can lock in seats and plan around everything from canned food drives to a Teddy Bear Toss.

Men's Basketball: There are 20 chances to see the Shockers in the Roundhouse this season. Opening night against CSUN on Nov. 4 brings free Shock Block t-shirts for the first 300 students, followed by Red, White and Wu honoring hometown heroes, a Shocksgiving canned food drive, a Teddy Bear Toss against SEMO, and a White Out when Boise State comes to town. There's even free admission for anyone named Cameron when the Aggies visit Dec. 14. Reserved lower bowl seats start at $40 with general admission as low as $15, and the 2 for $40 Deal gets you into both the New Mexico and Boise State games. More info here.

Women's Basketball: Fifteen home dates are on sale starting with the Oct. 28 exhibition against Newman. Kids Day headlines the home opener against Missouri State, Shocksgiving brings a canned food drive against UC Riverside, students get free pizza at the Finals Study Break in December, and Holiday Hoops hands out free Shockers beanies to the first 300 fans. General admission tickets start at $11, with flex plans offering 10 tickets usable across volleyball, women's basketball, and softball. More info here.

🔼 Another Weekly Nod. Wichita State volleyball superstar Gabi Maas has landed on the American Conference weekly honorable mention list again, this time after averaging 3.63 digs per set and posting a double-double against Tulane!

🔼 Record-Setting Run. Nicholas Kipchirchir earned American Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after a third-place finish at the Gans Creek Classic in a school-record 8K time of 22:40.5. The senior from Kenya led Wichita State to a third-place team showing that included wins over ranked Missouri and Kansas. It's the first conference honor of his career.

🔼 Two In The Top. Wichita State cross country has a pair of runners ranked nationally in the latest USTFCCCA National XC Rankings Index after hot starts to the season, with Nicholas Kipchirchir checking in at No. 22 and Elkana Kipruto right behind at No. 30.

🔼 Fall Debut. Wichita State men's tennis makes its first team appearance of the fall this week at the ITA Central Region Championships in Nebraska. Felix Bockelmann-Evans opens singles qualifying today, with Pablo Roche Alcaya, Rodrigo Cruz, and Amir Milushev starting main draw play tomorrow. The stakes are high as the top two singles players from each region earn automatic bids to the NCAA Singles Championships, with the regional doubles champion punching a ticket to the Doubles Championship in November.
