📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Back On Top. Heading into the final six holes of the tournament, the Shockers were tied with one other team at 19-under par. When all was said and done, the team had grinded out eight birdies to win the Grier Shocker Invitational by three strokes.

Aaron Castillo led the Shockers as the low man of the team with a 10-under par performance through through rounds of play and finished fifth place overall. Blake Lorenz’ 9-under par score and Zach Sokolosky’s 4-under par scores were also huge parts of the Shockers’ championship performance. As the team soaks in this win, the team will pack their swimsuits and sunglasses as they prepare for the Bahamas NCAA Invitational next week.

🔼 Eyes On The Prize. The 2023 American Hoops Media Days are wrapped up which means that both the men’s and women’s college basketball seasons are just around the corner. The Shocker’s women’s team has their eyes on the prize after finishing last year above .500 while the men will look to improve on last season’s 9-9 conference record.

🔼 RV Weekend. This weekend is RV Weekend for Shocker baseball! Bring your tenement on wheels to the right field parking lot and get ready for a baseball-filled weekend. For more info and to RSVP, click here!

🔼 Full Reset. The Shocker defense has locked down teams for the better part of the season thus far, but Katie Galligan has added another weapon to the arsenal of the Shocker offense to help compliment the stellar defensive play.

After struggling to find her serve, Galligan has stepped up as the lead server for the team. She served just 13 times in the first 11 matches before bumping that number up to 52 in three matches for the Shockers.

🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

All American. Both men’s and women’s Shocker basketball programs have what it takes to stand out in the field of loaded talent in the AAC, but it will be a months-long test to see who will come out on top of the conference.
