🌾 ONE BIG THING

Wichita State placed five Shockers in double figures and led wire-to-wire in an 89-69 win in its 2024-25 home opener Saturday night in the Roundhouse. WSU held Montana State to 27.9 percent from beyond the arc and committed just six turnovers to win its sixth straight home opener. Justin Hill capped an impressive opening week with a 17-point, 5-rebound, 5-assist night in his first official game at home.

🔼 Easy As One, Two, Three. Shocker volleyball got 18 kills from Morgan Stout and held Tulane to a .188 hitting percentage as the Shockers completed a clean sweep over the Green Wave on Sunday afternoon. Katie Galligan led the Wichita State defensive effort with 23 digs to go along with five assists, and Izzi Strand dished out 40 assists in addition to 10 digs of her own.

🔼 ‘Til The End. Shocker women's basketball dropped its first game of the season, 75-55, to Belmont on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Salese Blow led the Shockers with 16 points and four assists, while junior Bre'Yon White grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

The former Shocker men’s basketball head coach will make his return to Charles Koch Arena with Northern Iowa on Thursday. Turgeon was named the MVC Coach of the Year and led the Shockers to a regular-season conference title and Sweet Sixteen appearance during his time in Wichita.
