📈 STOCK UP

🔼 First of Many. Making his first coaching appearance at The Roundhouse, Terry Nooner and the rest of Shocker women’s basketball picked up the first win of the season in a 60-41 blowout against Presbyterian.

🗣️ "It was a great experience. It's been a lot of hard work, and it's just a testament to our team We did a good job of following a great game plan with only one day of prep." - Terry Nooner

Leading all scorers for a second game in a row was Tre’Zure Jobe with 13 points with Daniela Albies not too far behind, adding 12 points for the Shockers. The team fell behind early, but after going on an 8-0 run in the first quarter, the Shockers never trailed again.

🔼 New Shockers. Heading into the offseason, head coach Kristi Bredbenner was hard at work bringing in new talent, and that work has paid off. Shocker softball added four student-athletes to the team after National Letters of Intent were signed to come join the program. Among the group is utility player Catelyn Beckerley, outfielder Brookelyn Livanec, first base/outfielder Morgan Lloyd and first base/pitcher Ava Sliger.

🔼 Heat Check. Coming off a series split against North Texas, Shocker volleyball will face off against new AAC member, UTSA for a pair of matches this weekend. The roadrunners enter Wichita as one of the hottest teams in the conference, winning seven consecutive matches dating back to Oct. 15.

On the line this weekend is a chance at history with head coach Chris Lamb needing just one more win to eclipse the 500-win mark in his career. All-time, the Shockers are 4-2 against UTSA, a promising sign for the weekend.

🔼 Growing the Game. Shocker men’s golf added Jose Miguel Ramirez, one of the best amateur golfers at the moment, to the team after signing his National Letter of Intent. The reigning NJCAA DI Men’s Golf National Champion will join the Shockers for the 2024-25 season.

🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

Double Dime. Needing just three more wins on the season to reach the 20-win mark, Shocker volleyball would achieve something that has not been done for more than a few years.
