Today, a recap of the Shockers' stellar weekend
Good morning! Frosty made an early appearance this year as Shocker volleyball’s Natalie “Frosty” Foster recorded her 1,000th career kill, joining an exclusive club amidst a great weekend for the team.

🔼 Career Days. Series sweep of UTSA? Check! Earning the 500th win in head coach Chris Lamb’s career? Check!
Shocker volleyball started off the weekend strong on Friday with a 3-1 victory over UTSA in what was that milestone-winning win for Coach Lamb. He becomes just the 19th active NCAA coach with 500 wins. On Saturday, it was more of the same as the Shockers swept the Roadrunners thanks to a career-day from Natalie Foster’s .800 hitting percentage.
🔼 Closing Time. After a solid outing at the cross country NCAA Midwest Regional, the season concluded with runner Lucy Ndungu’s all-region selection, the 37th time in program history a runner has been named All-Region.
🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Shocker softball is headed into the offseason, but not without getting an update from assistant coach Elizabeth Economon and outfielder Bailey Urban. Listen in as they discuss rehabbing from injury and how to get the best out of appearances at the plate.
🔼 Team Growth. The Shocker men’s basketball family grew with the team’s additions of 2024 recruits Zion Pipkin and TJ Williams. Pipkins signed as a three-star recruit and 10th ranked player in the state of Texas, while Williams will join the team as the third-ranked player in Kansas.

Points! Shocker men’s basketball is well underway with a perfect 3-0 season, and many hoopers have contributed to the team’s high scores so far this year.

🌾 ONE BIG THING
With help from up and down the lineup, the Shockers closed its opening weekend homestand with a 95-65 victory over Friends. As a team, the Shockers shot 49% from the field with four scorers finishing in double-digits.
Xavier Bell was nearly perfect, shooting 7-8 on the day while Colby Rogers led the Shockers again with 18 points on 66% shooting from behind the arc. Next up, men’s hoops will take on Coastal Carolina at the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Nov. 16.
