🔼 More to Come. Head coach Paul Mills wanted three games under his team’s belt before heading off to the Myrtle Beach Invitational, and thanks to Friends’ willingness to play on short rest, Mills got his wish. Now, with a larger body of work to help make decisions, the Shockers have a couple of more answers on what type of team they can be and how to get the job done.

🔼 Spring Scheduling. The spring schedules for both Shocker men’s and women’s tennis have been unveiled as each program heads into the offseason. February and March will be a busy couple of months for these programs with much of the in-conference competition taking place then.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Entering his 17th season in the booth as the color voice for radio and TV for Shocker basketball, Bob Hull discusses the Shockers’ 3-0 start, the tempo at which the team plays and why communication is so important on defense.

Plus, hear how Bob thinks the team is gelling together and about some of his most memorable games from the past 17 seasons of Shocker basketball.

🔼 More Additions. Many of Wichita State’s athletic programs keep on growing following National Signing Day. Check out the new additions that will be joining Shocker programs soon including track and field, volleyball and baseball.

Tourney Time. The 3-0 Shocker men’s basketball team is off to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to compete in an in-season tournament against three other schools for the chance at some fall hardware.

🌾 ONE BIG THING

Since becoming Wichita State Athletics’ 16th sport, the program has joined on as a member of Conference USA thanks to a unanimous affirmation from the conference’s Board of Directors. Beginning in the 2024-25 season, Shocker women’s bowling will join nine other schools in the C-USA.
