After being crowned the AAC Champions, Wichita State volleyball will take on former conference foe SMU on Thursday, December 5 in the First Round of the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship. The match is scheduled for 7:00 pm with first serve at Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas. The two programs have played each of the last seven years since Wichita State joined the AAC in 2017, with SMU holding an 8-6 edge in head-to-head matchups during that range.

📈 STOCK UP

Following a championship game loss, Shocker men’s basketball finished 1-1 at the ESPN Events Invitational. On Thanksgiving Day, WSU needed 45 minutes of play, but eventually took the win, 68-66, over Minnesota. Harlond Beverly led the Shockers with 16 points, and the team reached 6-0 for the first time since the 2019 season.

Then, in the championship against No. 18 Florida, WSU suffered their first loss of the season after falling 88-51. For his efforts, Harlond Beverly was named to the All-Tournament Team.

🔼 Returning Home. Shocker women’s basketball looks to bounce back from last week’s performances with a matchup against Prairie View A&M tonight at 6 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena. Taylor Jameson currently leads the team with 10.9 points per game and is the only Shocker who is averaging double-digits through seven games this season.
