🔼 Bounced Back. Behind Quincy Ballard's double-double, Shocker men’s basketball bounced back to defeat Alcorn State, 78-54, Wednesday night in Charles Koch Arena. Wichita State's first shot defense was stout all night, holding Alcorn State to 26 percent shooting while, as a team, the Shockers dished out a season-high 19 assists. AJ McGinnis poured in 14 points off the bench, going 4-of-8 from beyond the arc while Harlond Beverly tied a career-high with eight assists.

🔼 Hard-Fought Battle. Shocker women’s basketball led by as many as six in a game with six lead changes but came up just short in the fourth quarter as the Jayhawks claimed a 70-60 victory over WSU on Thursday evening in Allen Fieldhouse. Princess Anderson led Wichita State in scoring for the second-consecutive game with 16 points, and Taylor Jameson hit three 3-pointers for the third time this season on her way to 13 points.
