🔼 A Chance for the Semis. The Shockers will have a chance to make program history tonight against Drake with a win as the team has never won three matches in a single postseason tournament. Wichita State volleyball will host the long-time Missouri Valley Conference foe in the Charles Koch Arena for a chance to make it to the semifinals in the NIVC.

The two teams have history, and the Shockers hold the edge in the 66 times they have faced Drake with a 49-17 all-time record. Under Chris Lamb, the Shockers have won 33 straight matches against the Bulldogs, but Drake is coming in looking to put up a fight after sweeping their first two matches of the tournament.

🔼 Road to Glory. From undrafted to making an impact, former Shocker men’s basketball star Craig Porter Jr. has had quite the journey during his short time in the NBA. Learn more about him and how he is adapting to his new team and the professional level as a whole in this video.

🔼 Fought to the Finish. It was a hard-fought, defensive battle for the Shocker women’s basketball, but the Black and Yellow were unable to come away victorious in a 49-44 loss against Houston Christian. DJ McCarty led the scoring with 11 points, and the team won the rebound battle by 21 boards.

The Shockers will conclude its four-game homestand against Kansas on Sunday at 1 p.m.

🔼 Getcha Tickets. It’s that time of the year again; Shocker baseball and softball season tickets are on sale now. 🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

🌾 ONE BIG THING

In the midst of their run in the NIVC, two Shockers were named All-Region by the AVCA North Region Committee. Middle blocker Natalie Foster was named All-Region while setter Izzi Strand has been named Honorable Mention All-Region.

Foster received her second consecutive All-Region honor following an incredible season where her hitting percentage jumped to .410, 13th best in the nation. She ranked second on the team in points per set (3.39) and kills per set (2.78), and lead the team in blocks per set (0.96).

Strand helped orchestrate the offense all season long. She ranks 19th in the country in assists (1,234), and sits just 44 away from breaking into the Shockers’ single-season top-10 list.
