Good morning, Shocker Nation! Xavier Bell poured in 26 points to lead Wichita State to a 75-70 road win at South Florida Sunday afternoon. Playing on Super Bowl Sunday for the third straight year, Wichita State (13-10, 3-7) improved to 4-2 all time on the big day.
Bell was a career-best 14-of-15 at the free throw line to record his fifth 20-point game of the season. Quincy Ballard added his eighth double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Corey Washington extended his streak of games in double figures to 12 in a row with 11 points. Ronnie DeGray III totaled 10 points and six rebounds.

🔼 You Get a Donut. And You Get a Donut. And You… Wichita State finished a perfect 5-0 at the GCU Invitational with a 9-1 win in five innings over the Colgate Raiders on Sunday morning at GCU Softball Stadium.
With the win, the Shockers are off to their first 5-0 start since 1994.

🔼 PR’s Abound. Wichita State senior Jaleel Montgomery set a new school record in the 60 meters, and freshman Darius Graham cleared a new conference lead in the high jump Friday evening at the Steve Miller Invitational.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Josh Parrish ran a personal-best time of 7.82 to rank second in the conference and sixth all-time in school history, finishing second by 0.003 seconds.

🔼 Flying High. Wichita State went 10-0 over the first two days of qualifying but suffered three close defeats in bracket play to settle for a fourth-place finish at the Flyer Classic.
The Shockers will be right back in action next weekend at the Mid-Winter Invitational in Jonesboro, Arkansas, hosted by Arkansas State. The tournament begins on Friday, February 14, at Hijinx.

🔼 Herding Wildcats. An energetic crowd and high-level play led the Wichita State women's tennis team to an incredible win over the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday evening at Wichita Country Club, 4-2.
Wichita State extends their win streak to three matches with the victory and they are now 4-4 on the season.

🔼 Blood, Sweat, and Basketball. AAC leader UTSA prevailed, 60-49, in a physical contest Saturday afternoon in Charles Koch Arena.
The Roadrunners (20-3, 11-1 AAC) shot 26-for-33 from the free throw line and used a 22-9 fourth quarter to pull away in a game where the Shockers (8-17, 2-10 AAC) held the lead for 26 minutes. After shooting 23.7 percent from the field through the first three quarters, UTSA's shots started to fall in the fourth quarter, shooting 6-for-14 (42.9 percent) to close out the game.

🔼 A Battle ‘Til the End. The Wichita State men's tennis team fell in heartbreaking fashion to the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Friday afternoon at Genesis Rock Road, 4-3.
Heading to third sets on courts one and four to decide the match, the Shockers appeared to be in control with Vanja Hodzic and Luke Bracks holding leads at the respective courts, but the Shockers couldn't hold on, with Bracks losing 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at court four, and Hodzic falling 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, to give the Red Raiders the win.
