🔼 Conference Honors. Wichita State senior women’s tennis’ Vichitraporn Vimuktananda earned American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors after posting six match victories over two weeks. The Thailand native went 4-0 last weekend in road wins over Iowa State and Iowa, clinching the 4-2 victory against Iowa with a comeback 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles.

🔼 Pure Power. Wichita State baseball legend Mark Standiford was inducted into the NBC Baseball Hall of Fame! Standiford is the most prolific power hitter in Shocker history, with a resume that includes 69 career home runs, a team and NCAA record 94 career doubles, and 301 career RBIs.

🔼 Next Up. Wichita State (13-9, 5-4) hosts Charlotte (13-9, 7-2) on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. CT in a matchup of conference contenders. The Shockers are riding momentum with a 5-4 league start, their best since 2020-21, while Charlotte sits tied for first after winning seven of their last eight games despite being picked to finish last in the preseason. Wichita State's Kenyon Giles is on a tear, averaging 18.2 PPG (third in the conference, including a career-high 33 points against North Texas. He's already hit 75 three-pointers, sixth-most in a single season in program history.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. Wichita State softball has released its 2026 promotional schedule, and single-game tickets are now on sale. General admission tickets are $12, with group tickets starting at $10. The promo schedule is packed with giveaways, including posters, sunglasses, t-shirts, cowboy hats, and themed nights at Wilkins Stadium. The Shockers open their home slate Wednesday, March 4, against Kansas at 6 p.m., after kicking off the season Feb. 6-8 at the Getterman Classic in Waco, Texas.
