📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Ready For A Reset. From bundling up to beach days, Shocker men’s golf is getting ready for the spring season opener across the border in Cancun, Mexico for the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate.

🗣️ "The vibe here has been really good to start the spring. The guys are putting in the work and the team culture is really good, plus everyone has been putting in the work and grinding to get better." - head coach Judd Easterling

The Shockers will battle in a three-day tournament at the Playa Paraiso Golf Club following a lackluster finish to the fall season in the Bahamas. The lineup will remain unchanged from earlier in the season with seniors Blake Lorenz, Aston Castillo and Zach Sokolosky leading the charge.

🔼 Down To The Wire. Shocker men’s basketball went the distance on the road against Memphis, but the Tigers drained a last-second shot to seal the deal and hand Wichita State the loss. Heading into halftime, the Black and Gold held a six-point lead, and with 10 minutes left in the game, the Shocker climbed to a 14-point advantage. Colby Rogers scored a team-high 19 points on 5-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc. Ronnie DeGray III set season highs in points (12) and rebounds (7), and Harlond Beverly grabbed 10 rebounds to go with seven points.

🔼  Statement Made. Wichita State women’s tennis went into Tulsa and came out with the first sweep of the 2024 season. It was the first time since March 24, 2023, the Shockers recorded a complete-match sweep. The team ran away with a 7-0 victory after winning all three doubles contests and sweeping singles play. The win moved the team to 3-2 on the season, and now, will continue the road gauntlet with a match against Kentucky on Friday.

🗣️ "This team is quickly understanding the importance of bringing their best energy and focus each day in practice." - head coach Colin Foster

🔼 Hosting the Pirates. The Shockers put up a fight but ultimately fell to East Carolina, 72-51, inside Charles Koch Arena. Salese Blow scored a team-high 13 points, and Tre'Zure Jobe put up 12 points, all in the first half. Wichita State heads to the Sunshine State for a rematch with Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton on Feb. 10 before traveling to Tampa to play South Florida on Feb. 13.
