The Shockers (6-8) snapped a losing streak that spanned three matches with the victory and earned their first win over a ranked opponent this season.

🔼 Music to Our Ears. Wichita State wrapped up the 2024-25 regular season with another strong showing at the Music City Classic, finishing 7th out of 31 teams over the weekend at the Smyrna Bowling Center. The Shockers went 9-4 in total, picking up wins against the #3, #6 and #9-ranked teams in the country along the way.

Wichita State concludes the regular season with a record of 77-35 and will await their seeding at next week's Conference USA Tournament in Harahan, Louisiana.

🔼 Tu Little, Tu Late For Tulane. The No. 67 ranked Wichita State women's tennis team ended their week-long trip to Louisiana with a victory over No. 61 Tulane, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Shockers (9-6) have won three in a row and secured a perfect 3-0 record in their week-long trip to Louisiana.

🔼 Snow Joke. In a tournament that was cut two rounds short due to snowfall, Kate Tilma tied for sixth, leading the way for the Wichita State women's golf team at the Red Rocks Invitational on Sunday afternoon.

Sudden snowfall interrupted the tournament on day one and play didn't resume at Oak Creek Country Club until mid-morning Sunday, resulting in the tournament being shortened to just a one-round affair.

The Shockers finished 13th in the 19-team field with a score of 302, 14 strokes over par.

🔼 Hardwood Heartache. The Wichita State MBB team (19-14) gave the No. 1 seed and regular season champions, Memphis, everything and then some, but came up just short, 83-80, in AAC Championship quarterfinals Friday afternoon.

One day after dropping a career-high 20 points on South Florida, Bijan Cortes came back with 19 in the quarterfinals on a career-best 5-of-9 shooting from three-point range. Ronnie DeGray III came up one point shy of his career high with 14 points.

🔼 May the Greens Rise Up to Meet You ☘️. The Wichita State men's golf team begins its second tournament in six days when the squad opens play in the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate today and tomorrow at Tucson Country Club against a field of 13 teams.

The Shockers finished eighth in the GCU Invitational back on March 12. Jose Carletta led the way, tying for 18th on the individual leaderboard. The lineup remains unchanged from Phoenix.

🔼 Dawggonit. After scoring 27 runs through the first two games of the series against Louisiana Tech, Wichita State was limited to just one run on seven hits in the finale as the Bulldogs claimed a 7-1 win on Sunday afternoon at Eck Stadium.

The Shockers (7-13) were stymied by Louisiana Tech starter Brooks Roberson (1-1), who worked 7.1 innings while allowing just the one run. Wichita State starter Jace Miner (1-3) matched Roberson pitch-for-pitch through four innings, holding the Bulldogs (11-9) without a hit. But the southpaw ran into command problems in the fifth, hitting two batters and walking two more to force in the game's first run.
