Quincy Ballard and Xavier Bell always the favorites for the kids who stick around after the game.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 More Mandates From Mother Nature. Wichita State Softball's midweek game scheduled for today (Wednesday, March 5) at Kansas City has been canceled due to inclement weather and below freezing temperatures. The Shockers will now head to Boca Raton for their conference opener at Florida Atlantic, March 7-9.

🔼 Two Dang Points. Wichita State and North Texas went toe-to-toe for 40 minutes, but it was the Mean Green who made a couple more plays late to escape with 68-66 win Monday night in the Super Pit.
Wichita State (17-12, 7-9) drops its second straight game after its six-game win streak. Both losses to North Texas this season were by a combined six points.
Xavier Bell still did his thing, scoring 17 of his 19 points after halftime on 6-of-11 shooting and a perfect 7-for-7 from the line.

🔼 Home Court Advantage. The Wichita State women's tennis team takes on Memphis at home tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. CT.
The Shockers are 6-5 on the year with wins over Wyoming, Kansas State, Oral Roberts, Kentucky, Abilene Christian, and Tulsa. WSU is 8-22 overall against AAC opponents under head coach Colin Foster in the regular season.

🔼 On the Hunt. Wichita State heads to Arlington, Texas, to take part in the 2025 Globe Life Field College Baseball Series, taking on Abilene Christian tonight at 6 p.m. CT at the home of the Texas Rangers. WSU is looking to shake off a slow start to the 2025 season that has left the Shockers with a 3-8 overall record.
The Shockers are coming off a 32-29 season in 2024 that included a 15-12 mark in AAC Conference play, tying for third in the final conference standings. WSU went on to reach the championship game of the AAC Tournament for the first time in program history, falling to Tulane, 11-10. Wichita State is hunting their first appearance in the NCAA tournament since the 2013 season, a regional bid that was later vacated by the NCAA.
