🔼 Best in Conference. Junior Josh Parrish claimed the American Conference Men's Indoor Most Outstanding Track Performance award after a dominant showing at the conference championships. Parrish tied his personal best and program record, while also breaking the meet record, in the 60-meter hurdles prelim with a time of 7.70, which ranks 31st nationally. He went on to finish second in the final at 7.71. The honor makes Parrish a nine-time all-conference performer, including four times indoors.

🔼 Weekend Rotation. Matthew Cuccias, Brady Hamilton, and Reese Kortum are set to start on the mound for Wichita State baseball this weekend. The second pitcher of Saturday’s doubleheader is TBA. The Shockers are slated to battle West Georgia in a four-game series from March 6-8.

🔼 Held Serve. The No. 36 Wichita State women’s tennis team handed UTSA its first home loss of the season, winning 4-1 in San Antonio to improve to 11-3. No. 12-ranked doubles pair Xin Tong Wang and Giorgia Roselli cruised 6-0 at the top spot, and Wichita State claimed the doubles point for the 10th straight match. After UTSA grabbed a point at No. 6 singles, Kudryavtseva, Wang, and Roselli all won in straight sets to clinch it. The nine-match winning streak is the program's longest since 2016. Up next: No. 42 Rice on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.

🔼 On Deck. Wichita State softball (10-8) heads to Greenville, N.C. for a three-game series against East Carolina (15-8) beginning this afternoon at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN+, with games Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 10 a.m. Wichita State arrives riding hot form from Ausha Moore, who is batting .442 on the season and is on a six-game hitting streak during which she's gone 12-for-15 with four home runs and 11 runs scored. The Shockers have also been much better from the power perspective, belting 23 home runs over their last 12 games after going deep just once in their first five.
