Good morning! It was this time 10 years ago that Shocker men’s basketball improved to 35-0 on the season after a first-round win over Cal Poly in the NCAA Tournament. Time sure has flown since the infamous 2014 season!

What else are we mixing into today’s Brew?

🌾 ONE BIG THING

After finishing tied for third in the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate, Shocker men's golf’s Blake Lorenz was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The senior carded a tournament score of 207, six strokes under par, for a top-three finish. The honor is the fourth time a men’s golfer has been named to the weekly award, with the last coming in 2022 after both Dawson Lewis and Lucas Scheufler were named recipients.

🗣️ "Blake is gaining some speed and some confidence going into the last couple of events," said Easterling. "He's played our next two golf courses quite a bit, so he'll be mentally prepared for those and he's definitely trending in the right direction." - head coach Judd Easterling
