A major silver lining—the team was slotted as the No. 5 seed in the upcoming AAC Championship—its highest seed since 2023.
 
The Shockers are set to play 12-seed East Carolina tomorrow at noon CT in Memphis at Leftwich Tennis Center. With a win, the Shockers would advance to the quarterfinals to play the winner of 13-seed Temple and 4-seed No. 52 Tulsa. The quarterfinal match will be on Friday at noon in Memphis.

🔼 That’s a Regular Season Wrap. The Wichita State men's golf team ended their regular season with a 12th-place finish in the Hawkeye Intercollegiate on Monday at Finkbine Golf Course.
 
Jose Miguel Ramirez tied for 19th to lead the Shockers on the individual leaderboard. The senior from Venezuela posted a 66 in the opening round, his lowest single round of the year and the tying the lowest of any Shocker this season.

Next up, the Shockers open play in the 2025 AAC Championship on April 21 at Ritz Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Florida.

🔼 Magic 8 Ball, What Say You? Wichita State men's tennis was named the No. 8 overall seed in this week's AAC when the conference office announced seeds for the championship.
 
The Shockers are set to play 9-seed UAB tomorrow at 2:00 PM CT in Memphis at Leftwich Tennis Center. With a win, the Shockers would advance to the quarterfinals to play the No. 1 seed in the No. 25 South Florida Bulls on Friday in Memphis.
 
WSU is searching for their first win at the AAC Championship since 2021.

🔼 A Case Of Cold Bats. The Wichita State softball team fell in 5 innings at No. 21/22 Oklahoma State Tuesday night, 10-2. Wichita State (21-20-1, 9-8-1) managed just three hits on the night. Jodie Epperson drove in both runs on a first inning double. Gabby Scott and Brookelyn Livanec recorded the only other hits on a pair of singles.

Wichita State continues its stay in Oklahoma with a three-game series at Tulsa tomorrow through Saturday, April 17-19.

🔼 Owls Be Seeing You. It was a night of lots of hit and lots of runs, but the Shockers fell short of the dub against Kansas.

The team will be back at it tomorrow night, starting a three-game series against Florida Atlantic at 5:30 p.m. CT.

At last year's AAC Championship, the Shockers women’s tennis team was the 7-seed, beating 10-seed Tulsa in the first round, 4-0, before falling to 2-seed No. 43 Charlotte 4-3 in the quarterfinal.
