Good morning, Shocker Nation. Ausha Moore tied a school record with three home runs and set a new program record with nine RBIs yesterday as Wichita State run-ruled Charlotte 14-4 to sweep the series and push its winning streak to eight. Moore was a perfect 3-for-3, opening the game with a two-run blast and a grand slam in a nine-run first inning before adding a third homer in the third. The Shockers now sit in a three-way tie for first place in the American Conference and claimed their first conference road sweep since 2024.

Wichita State track and field had a standout day at the Oregon Team Invitational at Hayward Field, with three athletes recording American Conference-leading marks. Junior Jason Parrish extended his conference lead in the 400-meter hurdles with a 50.41, good for 19th in the nation.
On the women's side, sophomores Shellamae Farmer and Kylie Scott tied for second in the pole vault with personal-best clearances of 4.06m to take the conference lead, while freshman Lilly Charest ranked fourth with a 3.91m personal best. The men's pole vault group swept the top three spots, led by freshman Ty Bybee's winning clearance of 5.10m. The Parrish twins also teamed up for the second-fastest 4x100 relay in school history (39.66).

🔼 What’s Next. No. 28 Wichita State women's tennis fell to No. 51 Rice 4-2 in the American Conference Championship final yesterday in Houston, snapping a 19-match winning streak. The Shockers won the doubles point with clutch efforts at No. 2 and No. 3, and Xin Tong Wang dominated at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-0 win to put Wichita State ahead 2-0, but Rice rallied to win five singles matches and claim the conference's automatic NCAA bid. Wichita State (21-4) now awaits an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, beginning May 1.

🔼 NCAA Berth On The Line. Wichita State women's golf heads to Florida for the American Conference Championship April 20-22 with an NCAA tournament bid in its sights. The Shockers are in the midst of one of their best seasons in years, with six top-five team finishes, the most in a single season since 2018, including a third-place finish last week in Omaha. Mackenzie Wilson leads the way with five top-20 individual finishes, and last week, none of the six competing Shockers finished outside the top 30.

🔼 Rout In Greenville. Wichita State salvaged the series finale at East Carolina with a dominant 13-1 victory on Sunday, bouncing back from a pair of 7-1 losses. The Shockers (24-17, 8-7) erupted for five runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth, racking up 10 two-out RBI while taking full advantage of 11 walks and three hit batters from ECU pitching. Starter Johnny Nuanez was sharp, striking out seven while holding the Pirates to two hits over four scoreless innings. Jayson Jones and Josh Wulfert each delivered two-run singles in the pivotal fifth inning, with Jaden Gustafson and Nolan Ganter adding to the damage in the sixth.
