🌾 ONE BIG THING

Shocker men’s golf is headed to the postseason to conclude the spring season at the AAC Championship starting today at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The team has played well in the spring, as the Shockers are coming off a pair of quality finishes in their last two tournaments and have earned two top-five finishes in the spring season so far.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Treasure Hunt. The Shockers are hitting the road to take on the top-ten-ranked East Carolina Pirates for a big three-game series this weekend. Wichita State will face its fourth ranked opponent of the year, and coincidentally, the last win against a top-10 team came last season against East Carolina, when WSU swept the No. 7 Pirates in a three-game series at home.

🔼 Meaningful Matchup. With only three weeks left in the regular season, another big weekend awaits with AAC standings implications when the Shockers meet with UAB at Wilkins Stadium. Currently, the Blazers are one game up on Wichita State in the standings. UAB will be traveling to Wichita for the first time ever as the Shockers look to bounce back from their narrow 6-5 defeat against No. 6 Oklahoma State on Wednesday night.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. In the second round of the AAC Championship, Shocker women’s tennis swept Tulsa, 4-0, to advance to the quarterfinals. The win for the Shockers breaks a six-match long losing streak to Tulsa and avenges the teams' 4-1 loss at home to the Golden Hurricane ten days ago. The Shockers will now play 2-seed and No. 43-ranked Charlotte today at 3 p.m. in Dallas, Texas.

📝 The AAC Quarterfinal Preview

🔼 Three Meet Split. Shocker track and field is sending three groups of student-athletes to the Michael Johnson Invitational, the Kansas Relays and the Tabor College Invitational this weekend. The majority of the team will compete at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas while the distance runners will head to the Kansas Relays and a group of jumpers will head to Tabor.

🔼 Season’s End. Shocker men’s took the doubles point to start the AAC Tournament, but eventually fell to Tulsa 4-1 to cap off the season. Duos Alejandro Jacome and Luke Bracks, and Vanja Hodzic and Marcelo Sepulveda, ended the season with doubles wins, both going to a tiebreak and coming out on top.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast . Wichita State men’s basketball’s Harlond Beverly joins the podcast with the story of why his dad wanted him to wear No. 20 and the NBA player who also wore that number. The crew also talks about Beverly’s admiration of LeBron James, why the Shockers improved over the season’s final weeks and how head coach Paul Mills challenged him to be a better offensive player.

Hot Diggity Dog. Shocker baseball’s Wednesday night matchup against Oral Roberts featured some throwback prices at the concession stand, most notably, the 50-cent hot dog.
