🌾 ONE BIG THING
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Record Breaker. Men’s golfer Jose Miguel Ramirez shattered Wichita State's career stroke average record at the American Conference Championship, finishing his two-year Shocker career at 71.24, well clear of Blake Lorenz's previous mark of 72.07. Ramirez led the team individually with a tie for 25th at 1-over 217, while Emilio Arellano Lamas and Jose Carletta each tied for 32nd at 3-over. Freshman Rhett O'Rear posted the Shockers' best final-round score with an even-par 72. Wichita State finished 10th as a team, with No. 22 Charlotte running away with the title at 48 under par.
🔼 How Grand. Wichita State softball downed Memphis, 8-2, last night to open the series behind Kinzey Woody’s third grand slam (watch it here!) of the season. The Shockers carried a 4-2 lead into the sixth when Woody left the field with the bases loaded. Ausha Moore became the new Wichita State single season record holder for walks with 45. The Shockers take on Memphis tonight at 6 p.m. from Wilkins Stadium.

🔼 Season’s Best Spot. Wichita State men's tennis closed its season ranked No. 69 nationally, capping nine consecutive weeks in the ITA rankings, the program's longest streak since 2021. The Shockers finished 13-10 with four wins over ranked opponents, including Oklahoma State, Charlotte, Nebraska, and Denver. Zaid Al Mashni was individually ranked for 10 straight weeks, the longest such run since Tin Ostojic's 21-week stretch from 2014-16. Wichita State was one of six American Conference teams ranked in the final poll.

🔼 On Track. Wichita State track and field splits its squad this weekend, with the bulk of the team heading to the Rock Chalk Classic in Lawrence while the Parrish twins make the trip to Athens, Georgia, for the Torrin Lawrence Memorial. The Shockers currently have 11 men and five women sitting inside the NCAA West top 48 in their respective events, led by Josh Parrish at No. 7 nationally in the long jump and Jason Parrish at No. 10 in the 400-meter hurdles. Wichita State also holds three top-10 USTFCCCA event squad rankings: No. 3 in men's long jump, No. 8 in men's 110-meter hurdles, and No. 9 in men's 400-meter hurdles.
