🔼 Keep Making History. Wichita State's Kinzey Woody added Softball America Freshman All-American to a historic debut season, becoming the first Shocker to earn the honor. The American Conference Player and Freshman of the Year (the first player in conference history to win both awards in the same season) slashed .359/.489/.724 with 14 home runs and 50 RBI. In conference play, Woody led the league in batting average (.476), slugging percentage (1.000), on-base percentage (.587), hits, and RBI. She was also the only student-athlete from a non-Power 4 school on the All-America team.

🔼 Three Honored. Wichita State baseball placed three players on the American Conference all-conference baseball teams, headlined by Jayson Jones earning First Team honors and Newcomer Position Player of the Year. The Oklahoma State transfer ranked among the league leaders in home runs (14), batting average (.354), and RBI (52) while ripping off the seventh-longest hitting streak in program history at 25 games. Right-hander Matthew Cuccias landed on the Second Team after posting a 3.09 ERA and holding opponents to a league-best .194 batting average, while reliever Brady Pacha also earned Second Team nods with a 2.93 ERA and six saves.
