The bullpen delivered strong work from Reese Kortum, Amar Tsengeg, and Heitaro Hayashi before Rice's Kutter-Gage Webb tied it with a leadoff homer in the ninth and a throwing error on a bunt brought in the winning run. Wichita State will play an elimination game Friday.
