🔼 A Season Ends. Wichita State baseball's 2026 season came to a close at 31-29, but the Shockers leave Clearwater with plenty of momentum. The season featured American Conference Newcomer Position Player of the Year Jayson Jones, who ripped off the seventh-longest hitting streak in program history at 25 games, and reliever Brady Pacha's remarkable stretch of 94 consecutive batters without a walk. Matthew Cuccias and Pacha both earned Second Team All-Conference honors.

The Shockers showed their fight to the very end, rallying from a 10-6 deficit with a six-run seventh to beat UAB 14-12 in an elimination game before a depleted pitching staff ran out of gas against East Carolina. With key pieces returning and a culture of resilience on display all spring, Wichita State has a strong foundation heading into 2027.
