🌾 ONE BIG THING

Addison Barnard, Alison Cooper, Lauren Howell, Bailey Urban and CC Wong were the five Shockers selected to the Academic All-District Team. Barnard and Wong are finalists for Academic All-America honors. The 2023-24 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. Barnard received her third straight selection while the other four Shockers were honored by the CSC for the first time.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Up For A Challenge. For the first time in program history, Shocker softball will compete alongside 15 other teams at the 2025 Shriner’s Children’s Clearwater Invitational from Feb. 13-16. Considered one of the premier softball tournaments in the country, Wichita State will go head-to-head against some of the nation’s best including Alabama, Oklahoma State and UCLA who advanced to the Women’s College World Series.

🔼 Lessons Abroad. The Shockers are in Brazil this week to start an exhibition tour in which they plan to play four matches over 10 days. Head coach Chris Lamb expects a solid level of competition, and equally beneficial is the time together building chemistry.

🗣️  "We've got to keep growing on what we've done and make (newcomers) as productive as we can as soon as we can. As the new players have shown up, it's trying to get them assimilated and integrated." - Chris Lamb
