Shocker Brew: 6/13: A Masterful Run
Destiny Masters wrapped up her collegiate career by claiming her sixth All-American award Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Good morning, Shocker Nation. One of the best track and field athletes in Wichita State history wrapped up her collegiate career, claiming her sixth All-American award Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Destiny Masters placed 10th in the heptathlon, good for Second Team All-America status. She became the first Shocker in history to earn All-America status in back-to-back NCAA heptathlons and gave Wichita State its eighth All-American award in the event.
🗣 "Destiny did struggle this year to find her A-game, but she kept fighting, kept competing, made it all the way to this meet and then found some of the magic that has made her such a fabulous Shocker for the last six years.” - Steve Rainbolt, head coach

🤓 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: Five!
This summer will be the sixth year Wichita has hosted a TBT regional, continuing its reign as the longest running location in TBT's 11-year history.
Zach Bush, J.R. Simon and Garrett Stutz will return as the co-general managers for AfterShocks in 2025, while Bush will serve as the team's head coach for the fifth straight summer. Since taking over as head coach in 2021, AfterShocks have amassed a record of 11-4, advancing to two quarterfinals and one semifinals.
Wichita has consistently been the best attended regional in TBT history. Wichita State owns three of TBT's top-five attendances, and six of TBT's top-10.
🌾 Have an amazing week, Shocker Nation!
