The Basketball Tournament (TBT)—the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on FOX Sports—will see the return of AfterShocks, a Wichita State University alumni team. The AfterShocks will host the Wichita Regional in Charles Koch Arena from July 18-22.

AfterShocks will face No Excuses in the opening round on Friday, July 18, at 8 p.m. CT. If they advance, they will play the winner of Challenge ALS and Austin's Own on Sunday, July 20, at 8 p.m. CT on FS1. The regional championship game will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 8 p.m. CT.

Challenge Accepted. Head coach Chris Lamb and the Wichita State volleyball program have finalized their 2025 schedule.

Among the 12 non-conference teams the Shockers have on the schedule, seven finished the 2024 season in the top 100 of the RPI and three (BYU, Kansas, South Dakota) qualified for the NCAA tournament.

Wichita State will host the Shocker Volleyball Classic to kick off the campaign, marking the first time since the 2007 season that WSU has opened the season at home. The Shockers host Kennesaw State on Friday, Aug. 29, then conclude the competition against SEC foe Arkansas on Sunday, Aug. 31.
