Good morning, Shocker Nation. Wichita State basketball lost a foundational figure with the passing of Cleo Littleton, who died May 31 at age 93 from congestive heart failure. Littleton played for the Shockers from 1951-55, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference honors four times and All-American recognition in 1954 and 1955 while becoming the program's all-time leading scorer.

His No. 13 is retired, and his impact on the program runs deep: the success he and coach Ralph Miller built together prompted construction of the 10,000-seat arena that now bears the Charles Koch name. Beyond basketball, Littleton was an Army veteran, entrepreneur and pioneer who chose to stay in Wichita after his playing days and build a life centered on family, community and mentorship.
