Shocker Brew 6/3: Remembering Cleo Littleton
Plus: Volleyball schedule is in!

Good morning, Shocker Nation. Wichita State men’s basketball's all-time leading scorer Cleo Littleton passed away Sunday at age 93. Littleton scored 2,164 career points from 1951-55, earned four All-Missouri Valley Conference honors, and received All-American recognition in 1954 and 1955. His No. 13 is retired.

Recruited from Wichita East High School by hall-of-fame coach Ralph Miller, Littleton helped transform Shocker basketball from a program with nine season-ticket holders into a community institution that outgrew its downtown arena. He also played a pioneering role in integrating the sport, enduring discrimination on road trips while refusing to retaliate. Littleton went on to become a successful businessman in Wichita and was a charter inductee into the Shocker Sports Hall of Fame in 1980.
