🔼 The Big One Oh. Ever since the Shockers brought in their baseball coach of the future, it’s been nothing but good news. Will Stark becomes the 10th member of last year’s team to decide to return to the Black and Yellow, and joins fellow teammates Seth Stroh, Nate Adler, Mauricio Millan and a handful of others. The future of Shocker baseball is looking bright, and don’t forget to look out for this sign of good things to come that surely indicates more good news for the program.

🔼 Still Shining. The first AUX season is in the books for Wichita State softball star Sydney McKinney, and she continued to show the professional softball world she has what it takes to compete at the next level. In the eight games she played, Syd the Kid batted .429, had 12 hits, three RBIs and crossed the plate five times. Not too bad for the Rook.

🔼 Save the Date! The inaugural Black and Yellow Gala will be later this summer on August 19th at the Charles Koch Arena. The event will go directly toward the support of all Shocker student-athletes and teams. Join us for this fantastic fundraising event by purchasing tickets down below.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: The Final Four!

The 2013 men’s basketball team reached as high as No. 2 in the AP Poll that year and won a school record 35 games. Unfortunately, the Final Four was as far as the team got after falling to Louisville, the eventual champion. The team was loaded with talent such as NBA champ Fred VanVleet, Ron Baker, and Cleanthony Early just to name a few.

Have a great weekend, y’all.
