Good morning, Shocker Nation. March Madness is coming! Wichita has been selected to host opening-round games for the 2027 and 2028 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship at INTRUST Bank Arena, sharing the honor with longtime host Dayton.

The expanded 76-team tournament will feature six games each day on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Selection Sunday across both cities. Wichita State will serve as host in partnership with Visit Wichita, Sedgwick County, and the City of Wichita. The city's tournament hosting history dates back to 1956 at Levitt Arena, with INTRUST Bank Arena most recently hosting first- and second-round games in 2025.
