Good morning, Shocker Nation. Wichita State softball's all-time leader in batting average, hits, runs, and total bases is back! Sydney McKinney has been named an assistant coach after spending last season as a graduate assistant.

The three-time All-American and two-time American Conference Player of the Year hit .451 in her career with 378 hits, ranking fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history. McKinney will oversee the defense and serve as recruiting coordinator under head coach Kristi Bredbenner.
