Wichita State recorded its best Learfield Directors' Cup finish since 2018, placing No. 146 out of 365 NCAA Division I schools, marking a jump of 101 spots over two years. The Shockers earned 115 points, their most since 2017-18, fueled by women's bowling's national runner-up finish and women's tennis' NCAA at-large bid. Among non-football Division I schools, Wichita State ranks No. 19 nationally.

🔼 Welcome to Wichita. Wichita State men's basketball has added Sam Kearns as director of player development. Kearns arrives from East Central University, where he served as an assistant coach, and previously spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, helping design shooting programs that contributed to back-to-back 20-win seasons. Among his notable training clients is WNBA star Arike Ogunbowale.

🔼 Welcome to Shocker Baseball. Wichita State baseball announced the addition of infielder Evan Saunders, a Minnesota native who spent last season at Oklahoma State. Saunders hit .228 in 57 at-bats last season, with 16 runs scored, 13 hits, two doubles, and four homers.
