Shocker Brew: 7/9: Things That Go "Swoosh"

Wichita State University entered a new five-year partnership with Nike and BSN SPORTS.

Good morning, Shocker Nation. The Shockers have entered a new five-year partnership with Nike and BSN SPORTS. The Oregon-based global leader in sports apparel is the official outfitter of Wichita State University. BSN SPORTS, the premier platform for team sports solutions, will serve as the official supplier of Shocker Athletics' athletic uniform, apparel and footwear needs.

Nike will provide on-field and training gear for 16 varsity sports and outfit members of the athletic department including coaches and staff.

“Everybody Wears Nike.” Karon Boyd lifted weights Wednesday morning in his new Nike KD N7 light blue shoes. Dillon Battie wore a yellow Nike shirt, Flying W on the shoulder, and black Nike shorts.
 
Gabi Maas is excited about the Nike Kyrie Irving high tops she plans to wear for volleyball.
 
Nike is back on the feet and bodies of Wichita State athletics.
 
"We've been trained – 'Just Do It,' from a young age," said Battie, a forward on the men's basketball team. "Everybody wears Nike."
 
"Nike is the standard for what people look at in a program," Maas added.

🔼 Strokes Of Genius. Wichita State's Brooklyn Benn, Mackenzie Wilson, and Kayla Van de Ven were each named as Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars. Selection to the All-American Scholar Team is a tremendous honor, as the WGCA has some of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics.
