🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

Back to the Big Leagues. Brock Rodden had an incredible season with the Shockers, but it almost never happened. He was drafted during the 2022 MLB Draft, but declined the contract to improve himself and come back stronger.

Our question today — do you remember in what round Brock was drafted in last year’s MLB Draft?

Think you got it? Scroll on down to the bottom of this email for the answer!

🌾 ONE BIG THING

Our beloved Brock Rodden is headed off to Seattle, Washington.

His bet on himself paid off, because in this week’s MLB Draft, Rodden was selected No. 160 overall by the Mariners to join their organization as “one of the better four-year college players.” We simply could not agree more.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: The 10th round!

Last season, Rodden was selected as the 304th overall pick and was just one of three players selected in the top 10 rounds to not sign on the dotted line. The bet paid off as his pay went from $151,300 if he had signed last year, to $374,400 this year after being selected in the fifth round. Cha-ching!

Have a great Wednesday, y’all.
