🔼 The Streak Is Alive. For the 11th year in a row, Shocker volleyball was awarded the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award. After completing the spring semester, the girls finished above the 3.50 GPA mark to earn the honors. These Shockers keep the streak alive, and proved that important milestones can be made both on and off the court.

🔼 More Winners, Less Problems. The Shockers’ newest post-player knows a thing or two when it comes to winning. Sophia Askew-Goncalves is joining the WSU women’s basketball team for this upcoming season.

🗣️ “Her upside is tremendous, and it will be exciting to watch her grow and develop as a Shocker.” - Head Coach Terry Nooner

The 6-foot-4 forward comes into the program off the heels of back-to-back California State Championships. In her time in the Oakland League, she lead the league in rebounds with 70 boards in just 14 games.
