🔼 Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, New Foes. The return of Shockers’ volleyball to Koch Arena is now well in-sight after the schedule was released earlier this week.
The regular season will feature 12 home matches for the Shockers with the first tip-off of the season happening on August 17th against the Oklahoma Sooners. With the introduction of new members to the AAC, the Shockers will now play within the West Division with usual opponents like Tulane, SMU and Tulsa, and some new foes like UTSA, North Texas and Rice.
Three all-conference players in Natalie Foster, Brylee Kelly and Sophia Rohling are returning to the court for the Shockers as they look to return to postseason play after getting there for the first time in five years.
🔼 Summer Time Hoopers. A trio of former Shockers are out in Las Vegas right now proving to their respective NBA teams that they belong on a pro roster. The 11-game competition will feature ballers from all over the world looking for their place in the most competitive basketball league in the world.
🏀 Tyson Etienne will play for the Atlanta Hawks while in Vegas this summer. The 2021 AAC Player of the Year and member of the Shockers’ 1,000+ points club is looking to find his opportunity to join this budding franchise.
🏀 Craig Porter Jr. has already been hard at work this offseason, and after signing a two-way contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he is ready yet again to show the organization why he deserves a spot on their roster for the upcoming season.
📷 Not pictured: former Shocker turned NBA Summer League high-flyer, Ricky Council IV, showed off his athleticism with this monster in-game slam.
🔼 Save the Date! The inaugural Black and Yellow Gala will be later this summer on August 19th at the Charles Koch Arena. The event will go directly toward the support of all Shocker student-athletes and teams. Join us for this fantastic fundraising event by purchasing tickets down below.

🌾 ONE BIG THING
Shocker men’s basketball just added another stud to it’s already star-studded coaching staff. TJ Cleveland will be joining the Shockers staff under head coach Paul Mills for this upcoming season.
🗣️ “He is a tremendous coach, has a phenomenal eye for talent and his genuine approach towards people is inspiring and refreshing.” - Head Coach Paul Mills
Before coming to Wichita, Coach Cleveland was the associate head coach for St. John’s. He helped set the foundation for the team in recruiting, skill development, and scouting. He will bring nearly two decades of experience to his new role with WSU, and as they say, it’s time to get to work.
