🔼 Not Just a Gif. No matter how you pronounce it, the gif is here to bring Shocker fans good news. Coach Brian Green sent out his latest gif which means Shocker baseball has found the next man up.

🔼 New Dawn. Shocker volleyball is back in action, and spring transfer Barbara Koehler is ready to follow up her spring finale performance with more production this fall.

🗣️ “When you’re skiing downhill, if you look to the trees, you’re going to hit a tree. If you look to the snow, you’re going to find your path. Our team has so much potential. We can go so far.” - Barbara Koehler

The attacker finished last year with a game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers that saw her smash 10 kills and hit .444 on the match. After leading her previous team with an average of 3.74 kills per game, Koehler will be one of the most powerful women on the floor.

Next week, the inaugural Black and Yellow Gala is happening on August 19th at the Charles Koch Arena. The event will directly support all Shocker student-athletes and teams. Join us for this fantastic fundraising event by purchasing tickets down below.

🔼 Home Course. After nearly a year of planning everything out, cross country coach Kirk Hunter will have had a huge hand in helping the program put together a course just four miles from campus. The 95 acre plot served as a golf course and disc golf course, but as of late, has contributed to the running culture surrounding Wichita.

🗣️ “Coach Hunter is building what I really believe will end up being a step up for us in a way of a championship-level cross country course. The property is absolutely beautiful.” - Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Steve Rainbolt

Clapp Park will serve as a training ground for runners of all ages, and will become a great resource for WSU and the city for years to come.

🌾 ONE BIG THING

Perfection!

The Wichita State men’s basketball team will return back to the U.S. with a perfect 3-0 record in Greece after defeating the University of Calgary for a second time.

Four Shockers finished the third and final game of the Greece Summer Tour in the double digits. Newcomer Dalen Ridgnal and Kenny Pohto tied for a team-high 16 points with both Ronnie DeGray III and Quincy Ballard adding a pair of double digit performances.

Now the wait begins again for Shocker men’s basketball’s first game of the season on November 6th when Lipscomb comes to town in the Charles Koch Arena.
