🌾 ONE BIG THING

With nearly 3,000 members of Shocker Nation in attendance for Shocker volleyball’s final exhibition match before starting regular season play, Wichita State fell in a close one to Kansas State. Annalie Heliste, who got the start at libero for WSU, piled up 14 digs, joined in double digits by Emerson Wilford (10) and Izzi Strand (10) who also tallied 26 assists.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Welcome Home. Wichita State women's basketball announced the addition of strength and conditioning coach Jasmine Morris, as well as graduate assistants Shomari Harris and Mandy Willems, ahead of the 2024-25 season. Morris joins the Shockers after spending two years at Florida Atlantic, where she designed sport-specific training programs and provided dietary counsel to enhance student-athlete performance. Harris joins the Shockers after serving as an assistant coach at Kilgore College while Willems was added to the sidelines following a year spent at Johnson County CC.

🔼 Suiting Up. In just a few days, Shocker track and field athlete Josh Parrish will suit up to represent Team USA at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru. Last season as a freshman, Parrish claimed seven total individual wins and recorded 20 top-three performances en route to being named two-time All-AAC and qualifying for both the NCAA West Preliminaries and the USATF U20 Championships.
