🔼 Something To Prove. Coming off a NIVC championship win, Wichita State volleyball was picked to finish second in the AAC Preseason Poll. Redshirt senior middle blocker Morgan Stout and fifth-year senior Izzi Strand were both tabbed to the preseason all-conference team. After splitting the conference into East and West Divisions a year ago, the conference returns to a single division in 2024. With the departure of SMU to the ACC, The American now has 13 teams.
🔼 Ready For Action. Second-year head coach Terry Nooner unveiled his team’s 13-game non-conference schedule ahead of the 2024-25 season. The Shockers open their season with six-straight games in Charles Koch Arena, beginning with an Oct. 30 exhibition against Northeastern State and the regular season opener versus Oklahoma Christian on Nov. 4. They will then face off against Belmont on Nov. 9 and Missouri State on Nov.13 after playing both teams on the road last season.
🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Wichita State forward Ronnie DeGray III joins the latest episode to break down summer workouts and two of the newcomers who showed out. He discusses his late-season surge in 2024 and how coach Paul Mills boosted his confidence. DeGray also talks about how his father influenced his basketball career, why he wears No. 3 for the Shockers and his career goals in an NBA front office.
