Shocker Brew: 9/12: VB Wins in Sweeping Fashion
The Shocker VB team earned its first sweep of the season with a 3-0 win over Radford at the Golden Eagle Invitational, then followed that with a sweep of Tennessee Tech.
Good morning, Shocker Nation. Wichita State (4-2) earned its first sweep of the season with a 3-0 win over Radford (1-6) at the Golden Eagle Invitational. The Shockers won by scores of 25-17, 25-11 and 25-12.
Wichita State (5-2) then earned its second sweep of the day with a 3-0 win over host Tennessee Tech (2-5) at the Golden Eagle Invitational. The Shockers won by scores of 25-4, 25-10 and 25-17.
The four points allowed in the first set tied the program record for fewest points in a set. The Shockers also held Evansville to four points on Nov. 21, 2015.

Dr. Muma talks about the university's investment in athletics, why the university recruits Texas heavily and how athletics is more strategic in how it operates under AD Kevin Saal.

The 2025 Battle 4 Atlantis bracket was announced in August, with Wichita State opening tournament play against Saint Mary's on Wednesday, November 26, at 6:30 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
The Shockers open with the Gaels and then will face either Colorado State or Virginia Tech on Thanksgiving Day. Western Kentucky, VCU, South Florida and Vanderbilt make up the top side of the bracket. All games will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
