Shocker fans, come see Wichita State back on the diamond tomorrow at 1 p.m.! Admission is $5 at the gate, and with the cooler temps in the forecast, it’ll be a beautiful day at the ballpark.

🔼 Patch Takes Flight. Wichita State Athletics is adding its first-ever jersey patch, and it goes to a campus partner rather than an outside brand. NIAR's black-and-yellow logo will appear on all Shocker team jerseys beginning no later than Nov. 1, recognizing the institute's role in aviation research, defense work, and the Kansas economy. Established at WSU in 1985, NIAR is the largest university aerospace R&D institution in the nation, with more than 2,000 employees and annual research expenditures topping $400 million. The move follows an NCAA Division I rule change allowing additional logos on uniforms that took effect Aug. 1.

🔼 Madness Time. This year, fans don't just watch Shocker Madness; it’s time to get in on it! The free event tips off Saturday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena, and randomly selected fans will have the chance to shoot in the three-point contest, join the new knockout competition, take part in the Dynamo Capital "Show Me The Money Shootout," or serve as honorary coaches during the scrimmages. Entering is as simple as scanning a QR code inside the venue. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with team autographs on the concourse outside section 125, and parking is free on a first-come, first-served basis.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Wichita State baseball’s Caleb Reed and Ethan Gonzalez stop by the podcast to talk fall standouts, the baseball-loving dads who shaped them, mound visit theory, intro songs, and the best barbecue in town. The Shockers scrimmage Nebraska Saturday at 1 p.m. at Eck Stadium.
