🌾 ONE BIG THING

After putting up the best round of any team in the tournament in round two, Shocker men’s golf is adding a trophy to the case with a runner-up finish at the Dolenc Invitational. Michael Winslow (-5) and Ty Adkins (-4) each finished under par and in the top 11 for the tournament while Jose Carletta rounded out the top three Shocker golfers with an even-par score.

🔼 Let The Journey Begin. For the first time as an NCAA program, Shocker women’s bowling head coach Holly Harris announced the team’s schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Shockers will compete in 10 regular season tournaments, four in the fall and six in the spring, before the Conference USA tournament on March 14-16 in Harahan, Louisiana. The Shockers are coming off their record 11th ITC national title in 2023-24, defeating NCAA champion Jacksonville State to secure the trophy.

🔼 Solid Season Opener. In the team’s first action of the 2024-25 season, Shocker women’s golf finished tied for eighth at the Powercat Invitational. Brooklyn Benn led the way for the Shockers with a top-20 finish while Kate Tilma and Amelie Paul weren’t too far behind, finishing tied for 23rd and tied for 39th, respectively.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. On the latest episode of the Roundhouse Podcast, softball head coach Kristi Bredbenner helps us celebrate ground-breaking on the indoor practice facility at Wilkins Stadium with a description of the new building, why it is needed and the timeline for construction. The crew also talks about the rise in softball’s popularity and how WSU’s success set the groundwork for fundraising.
