🔼 Solid Beginnings. Shocker men’s golf’s first tournament of the year at the AllState Streamsong Invitational is in the books, and the team put together a strong start to the season.

The team finished in the middle of the pack with a seventh place finish after shooting a team total of 14-under par through three rounds of play. Golfers Blake Lorenz and Lucas Scheufler were the low Shockers of the tournament, each finishing 5-under par to tie 11th overall.

🔼 Fab Five. Cross country season is nearly off and running, but the preseason rankings are out, and the Shocker men’s squad is in a good position. In the most recent USTFCCCA Preseason rankings, the Black and Gold were ranked No. 5 in the Midwest Region.

🔼 Support the Shockers. The main focus of Women of WSU is to raise money for scholarships for WSU students, and over the last few years, the Women of Wichita State has awarded $4,000 each year.

This year, the organization will hold the Vintage Market, where they will be collecting vintage WSU items. The items will be put on a silent online auction from September 27th to October 3rd. All bids are welcome! The Women of Wichita State will accept donations until September 25th.

🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

Finish the Fight. Golf is a hard sport, but the Shocker men’s team banded together for a solid start to the season this week. With so much golf ahead, the Shockers will hope to draw some inspiration from some of last year’s performances.
